Midge and Mike met in art class, and they wanted wedding photography that had an artistic influence (art majors unite!). They found me on Offbeat Bride, so I knew they’d be cool. They were planning a Harold Pratt House wedding, and the moodiness of the venue was exciting to me. They’re also just super fun and easy-going, so we got on well right away. Midge and Mike’s Harold Pratt House wedding in Brooklyn was the perfect example of how you can make your wedding reflect your personalities. The venue was built in the 1920s and has an old-school feel, but with Midge and Mike taking over and a mainly 80s and 90s punk and alternative playlist for their reception, it became exactly what Midge had described to me before their wedding day: “like if Charlotte Yorke from Sex and the City was a witch.”
