Alex + Josh's New York City Highline Elopement

FILED IN: Wedding

Where to start with these two? Alex and Josh are two of the sweetest, most down-to-earth people you will ever meet. Their love for each other is so gentle. Walking around the city with them was just like hanging out with two friends. Before we started shooting they were a little nervous but afterward, they couldn’t believe how easy it was. Their elopement was just like them: unique, stylish, laid-back and most of all, unbelievably happy. I got heartache editing their photos.
We started in front of their apartment, then made our way to some of their favorite spots (this is the way to do it, I’m convinced). Their regular coffee shop, the spot where they found their first Christmas tree together, and then on to their emotional ceremony on the Highline where I may or may not have cried (sources are fuzzy). We ended up at their favorite pub for drinks with their closest friends and family, some who had flown all the way from England. It was perfect for them and exactly the kind of intimate and unique day that they’d wanted.
