So many surprises were thrown our way for Emily and Mony’s wedding, but no matter what happened, they didn’t care–they were just so excited to get married. They decided to have an Audubon Greenwich wedding because it’s a place that’s special to them. They love spending time in nature with their kids, so having a Connecticut Audubon wedding made sense. Everything about the day was laid-back, fun, and focused on the joining of their families (the sand-pouring during the ceremony was my favorite).
The biggest surprise of the day was definitely the snow. It was still fairly early in the season, and it was sunny. So when it started snowing, it created the strangest and eeriest atmosphere. Connecticut was going through a cold snap and it was chilly for an outdoor ceremony, but thankfully Emily (of Luna & Charlie Events) had thought ahead and there was cider and blankets for everyone to wrap around their bodies/heads. I’m glad they went through with having the ceremony outdoors, because it was beautiful.
